ABOUT GRACIELA
World-class Argentinian-German soprano, whose
international career started under the auspices of Plácido Domingo.
Currently focused on the hochdramatisches Repertoire,
she brings a wealth of experience from performances in
main theaters of Austria and Germany,
including the Wiener Staatsoper (+120), Theater Kiel (+180),
Deutsche Oper Berlin (+10), Salzburger Festspiele (+20),
Salzburger Osterfestspiele, Berliner Philharmonie,
Staatsoper Hamburg, Stadttheater Bremerhaven, Theater Bremen,
Stadttheater Klagenfurt, Volkstheater Rostock, Landestheater Neustrelitz,
Theater Lübeck, Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Staatstheater Kassel,
Theater Freiburg, Aalto-Musiktheater Essen, Oper Frankfurt,
Theater Krefeld Mönchengladbach, Oldenburgisches Staatstheater
and Mecklenburg State Theater Schwerin,
as well as in other European venues,
including the Stadttheater Bern (+180), Nederlandse Reisopera (+25),
Grand Théâtre de Genève, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Teatro Comunale
di Firenze, Teatro de la Zarzuela (Madrid) and Prague State Opera,
and in Noth America and South America,
counting Teatro Colón (Buenos Aires), Teatro Argentino (La Plata),
Teatro Libertador Gral San Martín (Córdoba), Teatro Municipal (São Paulo), Dallas Opera, Opera Connecticut and Cincinnati Opera.
Having studied in Buenos Aires
at Conservatorio Nacional de Música Carlos López Buchardo,
at Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón,
and with vocal guidance by María Jordán de Martínez,
she has performed with leading figures such as:
Plácido Domingo, José Carreras, Christa Ludwig,
Jessye Norman, Piero Capuccilli, Agnes Baltsa,
Renato Bruson and Samuel Ramey.

Her repertoire has recently broadened and focuses on the hochdramatisch (highly dramatic), like Aida, Tosca, Turandot,
Minnie (La Fanciulla del West), Leonora (La forza del Destino) and Maddalena (Andrea Chenier), among others.
Also Wagnerian roles such as Brünnhilde, Sieglinde, Isolde,
Brangäne and Ortrud; plus Strauss'
Kaiserin & Färberin (Die Frau ohne Schatten).
While some of Graciela's operas and concerts
are available in CD and DVD, her most recent performances
include Turandot (in 2018) and Tosca (in 2019)
in Buenos Aires, at Opera Festival Buenos Aires,
with musical director Prof. Helge Dorsch.
Graciela de Gyldenfeldt is linked up to Teatro Colón since year 1993, when she performed as Donna Elvira, in Don Giovanni (Mozart),
with general and stage direction by Sergio Renán. She has also performed as a memorable Elena di Troja, in Mefistofele (Boito)
in 1999, along Samuel Ramey; also in productions of Katja Kabanova (Janácek); in concierts with Orquesta Filarmónica
and Orquesta Estable del Teatro Colón; and as Angèle Didier, in Der Graf von Luxemburg (Lehár). Since year 2011 sha has been
invited to offer masterclasses at Salón Dorado (Teatro Colón), and since year 2014 she holds
a singing chair at Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón.
